Robert Hood

Along with Dan Bell, Robert Hood revolutionised techno music during the mid to late 90s, with benchmark releases like 'Internal Empire', 'Minimal Nation' 'Master Builder' and 'Movable Parts'.

Showing his diversity, the former Underground Resistance member also released the jazz-inspired 'Nighttime World Voume 1' album as well as dubbier sounds as Monobox and furious chord-heavy bruisers under the Missing Channel and H&M collaborative guises.

Hood, unlike many of Detroit first wavers, is still a major force , with the Hoodmusic series for Music Man and his Fabric mix proving that when it comes to stripped back, hard-edged techno, he's unbeatable. Pushing new ideas under his Floorplan guise and DJing all over the world, Hood is still the Master Builder, we're intrigued what he has planned for this return visit.

Eamonn Doyle

Unquestionably a pivotal figure in Irish dance music, Eamonn Doyle has made his mark locally - as DJ, producer, label owner/manager, club promoter, and as all-round advocate and enthusiastic purveyor of all that is good in techno and electronic music.

He founded D1 Recording, an unprecedented platform to help push Irish producers, D1 Recordings has remained consistent in the quality of its output, and has featured releases from both Irish and international talent including Donnacha Costello, Dave Donohoe, Mark Broom, DJ Bone and Keith Tucker. 2004 saw Doyle establish D1ASPORA as a sister label to focus attention on the diversity of new talent emerging from within Ireland's electronic music scene.

Doyle has also made a significant and defining contribution to the development of electronic music in Ireland through his establishment of DEAF (Dublin Electronic Arts Festival) in 2002 - an annual event designed to bring the electronic arts both into new environments and to new audiences. Since its inception, the festival has showcased an eclectic array of international artists (from Coil to 4Hero,Resistance, Ulrich Schnauss and Mu-ziq) alongside their Irish counterparts.
