yeah you guys could book some Irish artists , Donnacha costello would be deadly , and it would please and thank all the irish eahds who have been resident @ bloc since year one ,
A Scott logan (enclave recording / D1 records) Dj set would also be amazing,
boxcutter would be swell too although he has played in previous years

Glad you enjoyed. I'm certainly cheaper than a number of the DJ's mentioned here...

Here's the latest mix I did for fellow Mancunians 'El Diablo's Social Club': http://eldiablossocialclub.blogspot.com ... y-mix.html A little slower than my 'Disco Whiskers' effort but picks up towards the end.

Enjoy... 8)

Liking it :-) Cheers, Baggy.

I've become slightly addicted to proper disco and funk after going to the Horsemeat Disco special in Barcelona back in June. I know it's not really what this festival is about but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one on this forum who could handle hearing a bit of it at Bloc.

Got my ticket anyway - 8 in the gang so far and counting. Bring it on!

+1 on this. Loads of good artists to take your pick from here.
Just look at the lineup for DEAF at the end of the month.

Went to the Warehouse project in Manchester at the weekend to Richie Hawtin (who I am always up for seeing, as much as possible). While I was there a guy I had never heard of called Hobo played and he was totally awesome - would defo love to see him at Bloc! There is always room for people from the M-nus label, Magda was shit hot too.

Also saw Vitalic lately and he was pretty on form! Promoting his new album too so should be about!

Can't wait to see who is playing!

Yeah, and when UR and Karl Bartos played their classic tunes in 2008 NO-ONE listened or danced...

If we're going to have older acts, at least let it be Orbital over guitar-wanking FSOL!

Anyway, enough conjecture. WHERE IS THE FRICKIN' LINEUP?!

I heard they were getting Jay-Z.

it might have been cos it was UR as interstellar fugitives, g2g / los hermanos would have been better i think

an inner city / e-dancer set would go down a treat!

I was being sarcastic ;-) I don't think there's anything wrong with having a couple of older / retro acts on the bill, and there were loads of people in for UR and Karl Bartos. Truth be told, I'm still hoping for LFO on the bill, and I'm not going to cry if they open or finish with a certain 'golden oldie' from 1990.

100% agree- suck up to the irish contingency!!! But screw donnatella, get Sunnil Sharpe, Rory St. John and Fran Hartnett! Deal??

And also, more proper techno would be great... Get Ancient Methods and Grovskopa! (yes I just got back from Deaf... :) )

Swedish posse will be representing in even greater numbers next year!!! CHEERS!
