We are very proud to announce a very special double header to get us on track for 2010. After putting on possibly the best live show we have ever seen in the underground, JazZstePpa are back to shake and schmoove the underground again alongside one of the biggest emergening talents in UK music, Untold. Support on the night is from some new Irish talent in the form of Shocko. Fresh & bass heavy!

JazZstePpa

In December 2006, an old torn down Jazz club in East Berlin was transformed into a two week mini festival of Jazz and electronic experimentation. Jazz musicians, producers and Dj’s from all over Europe came to take part in the project which would later evolve to form JazZstePpa.The hosts of the event: Gal Bar-Adon & Gal Moore, both jazz musicians, found a growing fascination in the world of sound experimentation and electronic music. JazZstePpa created their early sound, merging elements of Dubstep, D&B, Hard-Bop and Dancehall. The collective philosophy of JazZstePpa lead the crew to collaborate and experiment with brass players, beat makers and producers from all over Europe(Rusko, Benga, Mack Jiggah and Untold just to name a few). Their music has all the strength and the deepness of the dubstep genre, but the live horns and Jazz percussion introduce a fresh and sensual feeling to these sophisticated bass heavy rave bangers.

Untold

With only a handful of releases on Hessle Audio, Hotflush and his own Hemlock Recordings, London based Jack Dunning has made serious waves already. An Untold tune is highly distinguishable; all compact bass lines that punish and clean percussion that clicks and drives instinctively; finding a balance between meticulous detail, deepness, and pure dance floor sensibility that is very rare indeed. Cited by BBC Radio One’s Mary Anne Hobbs as one to watch in 2009. If you ask Untold about his sound and where it's headed, you get a refreshingly liberated viewpoint; "At the moment I'm into clashing two or more musical clichés but from contrasting styles, for instance playing a classic deep house stab over a jungle sounding pad and putting them on a beat that's got some dancehall in there".
