I'm wondering if there's wireless or whatever in the chalets. Would be nice for cotching with youtube tunes etc

I've never had a connection in the chalets. Don't know about some of the main bars though...

there is wireless, however you have to pay for it. There is also BT openzone access in the main venues which you can sometimes get in the chalets, depending how far away you are from the venues

if you have a smartfone you could tether a 3G connection...

... actually will we be able to get 3G over there? its not often I am out of the city!

Last year I travelled down Thursday night, and "worked from home" in Butlins in the morning... The Butlins front desk staff had no knowledge of paid or free wifi onsite (though Bloc had said beforehand they thought there might be), and couldn't tried and failed to get a signal in any of the main spaces.

In the end, went up the road to the McDonalds drive through near Tesco, one cup of coffee and 3 1/2 hours of wifi later, finished "working from home" and waited for the waterslides to open...
